For large scale power producers (100+ MW), LW delivers 1000-hour scale energy storage (xLDES) at zero marginal costs per MWH with compressed air in subsurface air reservoirs (such as spent oil gas fields).

For small scale power producers, (<100 MW), LW delivers 100-1000 hour surface energy storage at under $6/KWh CapEx.

Solar or wind energy has daily intermittencies and zero generation periods in a year. The Green Power Plant (GPP) turns this into 24X7X365 continuous power to grid or customer loads.

Any power surplus first fills a Daily Energy Store (DES) and then accumulates the Long Duration Energy Store (LDES). GPP delivers grid the power from DES over daily supply zeroes and shortfall, and the LDES over multi-day zeroes.

The LW platform efficiently stores energy (in DES & LDES) and generates power from it using its (near) isothermal compression – expansion.
